And yet political risk is impossible to escape. Any policymaker, business, or citizen who makes a decision on what they think will happen in politics is analyzing political risk, even if they don’t call it that.
Understanding political risk is one of the most inevitable and difficult tasks a person can do.

Build the political risk community
One of the political risk’s biggest problems is that its practitioners are fragmented around the world. Some work in government in policy units. Others are in the strategy departments of Fortune 500 companies. Many are academics trying to build new models, journalists looking for what will matter, or citizens trying to identify what candidate has a chance to win or what issue deserves their attention. Knowledge is scattered everywhere and there is no way to easily bring it together.
This newsletter aims to be one step towards creating a conversation. Write in your questions, your ideas, your experiences. They’ll be shared among others interested in political risk and, hopefully, make this world a little less uncertain.
